Daniel Giles

Daniel Giles is an artist based in Rotterdam. His practice and research explore processes of identification and systems of representation, particularly how personal and collective identities are embedded within visual and material cultures. Giles received his MFA from Northwestern University in 2013 and BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2011. He attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2013. Giles’ work has been exhibited, performed and screened at venues including The Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, El Museo Tamayo, Mexico City, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Tufts University Art Galleries, Medford, MA, and Jacob Lawrence Gallery, Seattle, WA. Giles serves as Course Director of the Master Fine Art at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam.
