Yaël Vinckx

Yaël Vinckx is a journalist, writer and presenter. Her third book, the family novel De oorlog van mijn moeder (‘My mother’s war’) was published by Cossee in April 2015. Furthermore, she writes articles for NRC Handelsblad, Next, Elle and HP/De Tijd.  She also presents the cultural talk show Podium and gives workshops in ‘writing family history.’ Between 1999 and 2003 she was a correspondent for, amongst others, NRC Handelsblad and Radio 1 in Yugoslavia. In her book Joegoslavië achter de schermen (‘Yugoslavia behind the scenes’) she describes the wars in this country and the influence of the violence on daily life.
