Geert van Kesteren
peopleGeert van Kesteren (1966) is een Nederlandse fotojournalist bekend van zijn fotoboeken ‘Why Mister Why’ en ‘Baghdad Calling’. Hij won verschillende internationale prijzen waaronder de ‘World Press Photo Award’ in de category ‘Hard News Series’, de ‘Infinity Award in Photojournalism’ (toegekend door het International Center of Photography in New York), en de ‘PhotoEspana Book of the year Award’. Zijn werk is in verschillende museale collecties opgenomen en gepubliceerd in internationale tijdschriften als Newsweek en Der Stern. Momenteel is hij werkzaam in Jaffa, Israel, waar hij het Israelisch Palestijns conflict vastlegt in film, fotografie en teksten. www.geertvankesteren.com
