It shows projects by researchers, students, lecturers, professorships, APRIA, ArtEZ library Arnhem and Studium Generale in collaboration with (inter)national makers and researchers.
Friday 29 November
17:30 - 20:30

On Friday, November 29th, Home of Performance Practices will host a workshop led by Qiyun Zheng titled “Contorting bodies—(un)knotting identities and disciplines.”

The workshop offers a guided embodied experience of how Qiyun conducts their practice-led research during the Master’s study, accompanied by short performance lectures that dive into embodied theory. The exercises will start from the physical. Get ready to experience new senses when the bodies turn into human knots. Then, the auto-ethnography exercises will help translate the body knowledge into writing, and vice versa. Following the workshop, there is a reflection session for the participants to connect to their own practices and/or artistic research. This workshop may benefit artist-researchers who are interested in working with interdisciplinarity and intersectionality.

Participants are encouraged to bring paper and pen for writing exercises, and comfortable clothes for some easy stretching exercises. No prior experience or physical flexibility is required; this workshop is open to all.
