Precarious Nights
part of: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)Precarious Days: PART 1
In this first online contribution Krista Jantowski (curator an owner of ‘bookstore’ WALTER) explores the terms ‘precarious’ and ‘precarity’, reflecting on how the two interlink and wondering where the differences between them can become productive. It includes parts of a conversation with sociologists Willem Schinkel and Rogier van Reekum on their book Theorie van de Kraal: Kapitalisme, Ras, Fascisme).
Precarious Days: PART 2
Part two is a republishing of Joram Kraaijeveld’s contribution on solidarity in which he focusses on reinventing the concept of solidarity among cultural workers, which he put into practice during his work as director of Platform BK, an organisation representing artists, designers, curators, critics, and other cultural producers and committed to better art policies such as Fair Pay.
