peopleWendy Janssen doceert filosofie, theoretisch onderzoek en visueel onderzoek bij ArtEZ sinds 2013. Haar boek Reflections, 25 artists and 24 philosophers biedt inzicht in haar manier van lesgeven: van concrete kunstervaring tot de zoektocht naar theoretische verdieping in de filosofie van kunst.
De mogelijkheid tot uitwisseling van perspectief staat centraal in haar lesgeven en deze pluriformiteit van deelnemers is noodzakelijk voor kritisch denken. Hannah Arendts filosofie is hiervoor een bron van inspiratie.
Onderzoek is natuurlijk voor Wendy Janssen en ze probeert deze nieuwsgierigheid te stimuleren in studenten. Door haar opleiding als leraar, kunstenaar en filosoof (Universiteit Utrecht) focust haar werk zich met name op onderzoek naar verantwoordelijkheid, verbinding en visuele kunst. Ze is momenteel leraar aan DBKV Zwolle en Arnhem, Minor Liberal Arts en RAT (Research Art Together).

Research is a natural way of being for Wendy Janssen and she tries to stimulate this curiosity in students. After being educated as a teacher, visual artist, and philosopher (Utrecht University), the focus in her work is mainly on research of responsibility, connection, and visual art. Currently she is teaching at DBKV Zwolle and Arnhem, Minor Liberal Arts and RAT (Research Art Together).
