Haite Schootstra

Haite Schootstra is a composer, arranger and saxophonist from the Netherlands. He is also an accomplished instrumentalist, performing with ensembles throughout the Netherlands. Haite is an accredited music teacher, having completed a Bachelor of Education at ArtEZ Enschede. What he found most inspiring about the teacher training course was being able to show others the exciting parts or hidden secrets of a piece of music, and he realized that he could express this even better by arranging music. He is now studying for the Master of Music at ArtEZ Zwolle and arranges music in various styles, from jazz big band to Romantic piano music, and even interdisciplinary sound projects. He has a way of looking at things from a very balanced perspective on both music and art and always finds unique aspects in a piece that might previously have been overlooked.
