Op 30 november (hele dag) en 1 december (ochtend) vindt in Zwolle Spoorzone de conferentie Future Art School: (Un)learning Practices plaats. Tijdens deze ArtEZ tweedaagse onderzoeken studenten, docenten en onderzoekers intensief de vraag: Hoe ziet de kunsthogeschool van de toekomst eruit? Hoe zal die ruiken, klinken, voelen?

In deze conferentie bezien en beproeven we de ingrediënten die de kunsthogeschool van de toekomst kunnen vormgeven. Om wat voor docenten en leerruimten vraagt de nieuwe sociale, politieke en ecologische realiteit? Welke onderwijsmethoden gebruiken we? Voor welke competenties leiden we op? Hoe gaan we om met beoordelen en toelating? Hoe gaan we om met elkaar? Aan de hand van deze vragen reizen we langs verschillende systemen, methodieken, processen, ideeën en praktijken en door nog onbekende ruimtes om nieuwe relaties te leggen die de kunsthogeschool van de toekomst zichtbaar maken.
Het kernprogramma van de conferentie is samengesteld uit de vele inspirerende reacties op de Open Call vanuit de ArtEZ gemeenschap. Gedurende deze twee dagen zullen studenten experimentele creatieve praktijken delen, dompelen docenten ons onder in interactieve oefeningen en leggen artistiek onderzoekers nieuwe theoretische kaders op tafel. De bijdragen zullen stuk voor stuk tonen dat het nieuwe al begonnen is en de kunsthogeschool van de toekomst zich al in kleuren, vormen en geuren aan ons toont.
Deze tweedaagse wordt georganiseerd door ArtEZ Studium Generale, het lectoraat Art Education as Critical Tactics, de bachelor Artisteducator in theater en de bachelor Docent Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving Zwolle in nauwe samenwerking met de ArtEZ gemeenschap.

During this two-day ArtEZ conference, students, teachers and researchers will intensively explore the question: What will the art school of the future look like? How will it smell, sound, feel?

In this conference we review and test the ingredients that can shape the art school of the future. What kind of teachers and learning spaces does the new social, political and ecological reality require? What teaching methods do we use? What competencies do we train for? How do we deal with assessment and admission? How do we deal with each other? Based on these questions, we will travel through different systems, methodologies, processes, ideas and practices and through still unknown spaces to establish new relationships that make visible the art school of the future.
The core programme of the conference has been compiled from the many inspiring responses to the Open Call from the ArtEZ community. During these two days, students will share experimental creative practices, teachers will immerse us in interactive exercises, and artistic researchers will put new theoretical frameworks on the table. Each of the contributions will show that the new has already begun and the future art school is already showing itself to us in colours, shapes and smells.
This two-day event is organized by ArtEZ Studium Generale, the lectorate Art Education as Critical Tactics, the bachelor Artisteducator in theater and the bachelor Docent Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving Zwolle in close cooperation with the ArtEZ community.
