Alexandra Fiorillo – Design for Social Good: Practical Applications of Design and Behavioural Science

video
Nearly half of the world’s population lives on less than 2 dollars per day. More than 1 billion people don’t have access to clean water. Although there has been considerable progress made in the fight against poverty, there is still an enormous need for appropriate products and services for the Base of the Pyramid. Alexandra will present alternative approaches to social innovation, sharing examples from Africa and Asia where taking a human-centered design approach to complex social and economic problems has helped overcome barriers that traditional development approaches were not able to do.
