Ulf Aminde’s artistic practice engages with socially relevant issues through photography, video, and performance. He constructs both real-life and staged situations designed to create a sense of estrangement—an ‘alienating effect’ that opens space for critical reflection.
At A New Dawn, Aminde led a workshop that invited participants to grapple with urgent questions: What are our longings? What are our demands? And how can we make them concrete in just a few hours? He challenged the group to consider whether this was an impossible task—or exactly what is needed: the creation of a space for direct, collective action.
The workshop resulted in a protest—a clear expression of the need for change, even if the direction of that change remains uncertain.
