Willemijn Ruberg is Associate Professor in Cultural History at the Utrecht University. She has published extensively on the history of the body, emotions, gender, knowledge and forensic medicine. In her engaging and concise book she offers a clear introduction to the history of the body, introducing a wide array of conceptual approaches to the field. It explores a range of themes, including racism, anorexia, gender and sexuality.
