peoplevelvet leigh writes, performs and produces text-based work with a focus on body, politics, and power. Emerging from and within underground, queer, diy performance spaces, velvet's artistic practices are rooted in the situational, lived experience of day-to-day life, and how theory and language become forces determining what bodies can do. velvet is currently a 2nd year student in the Master Art Praxis program at DAI.
