Oproep KADE: samen ontmoetingen organiseren voor vluchtelingen uit Oekraïne

Op dit moment worden op schepen in de Rijn, dichtbij ArtEZ Arnhem, vluchtelingen uit de Oekraïne opgevangen. ArtEZ docenten Yuliya Globa en May Heek willen vanuit solidariteit en care graag ontmoetingen organiseren. Ontmoetingen tussen vluchtelingen en de ArtEZ community. Ze roepen studenten op om mee te doen en te helpen. Hieronder lees je hun oproep.
Op het moment komen er steeds meer vluchtelingen aan in Nederland, zo is er ook een tijdelijke opvang op de schepen in de Rijn een paar minuten lopen van ArtEZ. Als docenten, en sinds kort Yuliya ook als Oekraïens/Russische tolk, ervaren wij hoe belangrijk het is om niet voor vluchtelingen te denken, maar met ze te praten. We willen als artist educator een verbindende brug zijn tussen de Gemeente Arnhem, hulporganisaties en ArtEZ. We willen graag een klein beetje perspectief, afleiding, verbinding en steun bieden.
Op het moment hebben de mensen die gevlucht zijn veel prikkels te verwerken. Zij hebben eerst tijd nodig om te landen. Dat geeft ons ondertussen de tijd om ontmoetingen te organiseren van 'Caring Culture' en 'Solidariteit'. Dit willen we samendoen met de ArtEZ community.

Kenmerkend voor een KADE is dat in extra faciliteiten voor het aanleggen van schepen is voorzien, zoals een verhard loopoppervlak op de wal, en zachte bolders om schepen af te meren.' De Kade kan in die zin ook staan voor de 'Caring Culture'.

KADE: Solidarity and care for refugees from Ukraine
Refugees from the Ukraine are currently being accommodated on ships in the Rhine, close to ArtEZ Arnhem. ArtEZ teachers Yuliya Globa and May Heek would like to organize meetings based on solidarity and care. Meetings between refugees and the ArtEZ community. They call on students to join in and help. At the moment more and more refugees are arriving in the Netherlands, there is also temporary shelter on the ships in the Rhine a few minutes' walk from ArtEZ. As teachers, and recently Yuliya also as a Ukrainian/Russian interpreter, we experience how important it is not to think for refugees, but to talk to them. As an artist educator, we want to be a connecting bridge between the Municipality of Arnhem, aid organizations and ArtEZ. We like to offer a little bit of perspective, distraction, connection and support.
At the moment, the people who have fled have a lot of incentives to process. They need time to land first. In the meantime, this gives us time to organize meetings of 'Caring Culture' and 'Solidarity'. We want to do this together with the ArtEZ community.
