Marlies van Hak

Marlies van Hak was coordinator and teacher for the ArtEZ Honours Programme Theory and Research for several years. Previously, she coordinated exhibitions, lecture series and residencies at BAK, basis voor actuele kunst, among others. She obtained a masters degree in Cultural Memory Studies (cum laude) in 2008. Since then, she has been involved in various projects as researcher, writer, editor and teacher. Her interests are memory and materiality, site-specificity, walking as artistic and philosophical practice, and literature.

For ArtEZ Studium Generale, Marlies co-developed the Kitchen Table Conversations with a group of students and teachers, such as Lina Issa. She guest-moderated the blog for #diversitystories and HOME, and guided a workshop by Anke Bangma and Charl Landvreugd for De Grote Geheugenshow.
