Voor het dossier Tijd van Studium Generale stelde de ArtEZ Mediatheek Zwolle een leeslijst samen. De boekenlijst is een handreiking om het thema Tijd verder uit te diepen. De kunstenaars, theatermakers, muzikanten, schrijvers en filosofen in deze lijst duiken in het thema vanuit verschillende invalshoeken. Ze ontleden de abstractie van het begrip: de indeling van tijd en de consequenties daarvan ondervinden we aan den lijve. Het verband tussen tijdsbeleving en de maatschappelijke structuren die daar invloed op uitoefenen, spelen in veel van deze boeken een grote rol.

Ter introductie van de leeslijst en de thematiek schreef Creative Writing alumna Willemijn Bussink een essay aan de hand van de film La Cordillera de los Sueños (‘Het gebergte van dromen’) van Patricio Guzmán. De film was van belang in haar ontwikkeling als schrijver. De poëtische documentaire toont hoe de thema’s tijd, landschap, lichaam en politiek onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden zijn. For Studium Generale's Time dossier, the ArtEZ Mediatheek Zwolle compiled a reading list. The book list is a helping hand to further explore the theme of Time. The artists, theater makers, musicians, writers and philosophers in this list delve into the theme from different angles. They dissect the abstraction of the concept: the classification of time and its consequences are experienced at first hand. The connection between perception of time and the social structures that influence it play a major role in many of these books.
