Antonia Alampi

Antonia Alampi writes, talks, teaches and curates exhibitions and other programs. She is part of the curatorial team of Sonsbeek2020. She lives in Berlin where is Artistic co-Director of SAVVY Contemporary. In 2016, with iLiana Fokianaki, she initiated Future Climates, a platform that aims to propose viable futures for small scale organizations of contemporary art and culture, which will firstly manifest in Athens in March 2017 with a three-month school. From 2012 to 2015 she lived in Cairo, where she was curator of Beirut and art history lecturer at the Azza Fahmy Design Studio. There, she also conceived and directed the educational project The Imaginary School Program (2014/2015) focused on forms of organizing and institution building in Cairo. She has taught writing and organizing at the MFA program of Alchimia in Florence from 2014 to 2016, and has given workshops in various educational settings including MADRASSA in Casablanca, Steirischer Herbst in Graz, and the National University of Art in Bucharest.
