‘I really want people to reflect on the concept of time’
Visual artist Thijs Linssen talks about his work
videodossier: TIJD / TIME
Thijs Linssen is a visual artist with his studio in Arnhem. His work consists of film, sculptures, photographs, installations and performance. It is an amalgamation of experiences, fascinations and suggestions. These fascinations stem from his interest in cinematography, or perhaps more accurate the moving image. And in particular around the techniques of the visual and special effects. Cinematography has a strong connection with time. Slowing down, stopping, speeding up or the duration of a certain thing and the experience of this are recurring motifs in his work.
