APRIA Open call for Submissions: Ways of Knowing

news 04 October 2021
For this year APRIA’s Open Call, want to investigate how knowledge is created, shared and used. We welcome creative research (academic, artistic, or process-based) that can be published as text, but also image essays, film and sound contributions.

Information moves faster than ever before. At the same time, how that knowledge is produced is increasingly questioned everywhere from university campuses to newsrooms. Against the backdrop of fake news, unprecedented social justice movements, and the global impacts of Covid-19, it is imperative to strive for ways of sharing knowledge that can accommodate diverse and multifaceted voices.

What are the dominant structures and established ways of building and sharing knowledge? Which narratives are ignored? Which structures and methods of knowledge-sharing are more privileged than others? Who authors meaning and whose wisdom is erased? Who decides what counts as knowledge and who gets access to it?

For APRIA’s third Open Call, we want to investigate how knowledge is created, shared and used. We welcome creative research (academic, artistic, or process-based) that can be published as text, but also image essays, film and sound contributions.
