Friday 6 November '15 Enschede
(archive)

6 to 8 November 2015, with on 6 November:

Homo Technicus
In Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus Mary Shelley in 1818 already describes the currently relevant collision between curiosity and the idea of progress, and the deep-rooted fear of technological advancement.
We cannot fully comprehend what technological developments will mean for our humanity. But the continuing association of nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology and neurosciences is a fact. Technology is taking over the world.

During the Frankenstein Festival studium generale will organise the symposium Homo Technicus. A program of workshops, lectures, performances, presentations and more.

With:

Peter-Paul Verbeek, Yvonne Dröge Wendel, Pinar & Viola, Michel van der Aa, Anouk Wipprecht, Kris Verdonck, Andros Zins-Browne, Jonathan Reus, Marloeke van der Vlugt, Judith van der Elst, Joris Weijdom, Tin Men & the Telephone, Chagall, Peter van Bergen, Johan van der Kreij, Amalia Kallergi, Karien Vermeulen, CREW, Maya van Leemput, Derya Zenginoglu, Jeroen van der Meij, Juha van ‘t Zelfde, Saar Slegers, Elize de Mul, Sander Veenhof, Jacintha Lucia Scheerder, Frank van der Weij, Oscar Kocken, Saar Slegers, Sander Veenhof, Arie Altena and many others.
